The road to India

Doing street photography in India is a festival of colors and timelessness.

Timelessness is probably the most striking element.

Apart from some details, you're in a time capsule, many scenes could have been pretty similar a century ago, two centuries ago.

India is also a world in itself, which means it has the critical mass to, voluntarly or not, resist to the "Westernisation" and the uniformisation of the way people dress and live.

Tee-shirts and baseball caps are not standard yet.

Beauty is still there at every corner, mixed with frantic activity, business, extreme heat, rain, poverty and natural grace, in a festival of colors that make our Western world seem grey.
